政府简化引进建筑工人流程

国家发展部长徐芳达在2026年BuildSG领袖峰会上宣布，当局将从2027年起，取消来自中国与泰国工人的相关测试，并在2028年全面取消所有来源国的测试要求。企业届时可在本地为新员工进行技能评估，同时通过替代入境途径计划(AlternativeEntry Pathway programme)引进具备相关技能的工人。新措施预计可将招聘时间从目前的约四个月，大幅缩短到一个月左右。
此外，当局也将对未在工作准证发出后六个月内完成认证的工人，征收更高人头税，以鼓励企业加快培训与认证流程。

At the 2026 BuildSG Leaders’ Summit, Minister for National Development Desmond Lee announced that starting from 2027, Singapore will remove the relevant skills tests for workers from China and Thailand, and by 2028, all testing requirements for workers from all source countries will be fully abolished.

Employers will then be allowed to conduct skills assessments for new hires locally, while also bringing in skilled workers through the Alternative Entry Pathway programme. The new measures are expected to significantly shorten the hiring process from the current average of about four months to around one month.

In addition, the authorities will impose a higher foreign worker levy on workers who have not completed their certification within six months of their Work Permit issuance, in order to encourage employers to expedite training and certification.
